TOAST on Tour
Last week, we took our pop-up TOAST branch on tour to the Chelmsford Skills Festival at the ARU Writtle Campus in Essex. The event welcomed over 1,200 Year 8 students from the Chelmsford area for a day of inspiration and learning.
Organised in partnership with Chelmsford City Council, the festival featured demonstrations and activities from various companies and organisations, including building firms, estate agents and hairdressers, all aimed at inspiring young people to consider their future career pathways and next steps.
We were thrilled to meet so many enthusiastic students and their parents who shared their excitement and curiosity about future opportunities and career paths. With over 70 local and small businesses taking part, there were endless career opportunities to explore and get hands-on, from laying bricks and presenting the news on the radio to learning how to use a defibrillator and learning more about robotics.
We look forward to supporting more events like this that inspire and support young minds on their educational and career journeys, and of course sharing our own story with others.
Our menu, which featured toasties, milkshakes, hot drinks, and plenty of iced ones, also went down a storm at the event. We sold out of toasties by the end of the day.
TOAST will be going on tour at additional events throughout the Summer, in addition to Christmas events (sorry, we said the C word 😂). Stay tuned for more details and dates.
