Coffee for a Coffee Spring Update

Earls Colne Coffee Morning

Between January and March 2024, we distributed over 35,000 free coffees as part of our Coffee for a Coffee Project to various charities and events in the community, including the monthly Earls Colne Coffee Morning.

Coffee for a Coffee Recipients so far include:

Sanctuary Sudbury Young People Supported Housing supports vulnerable young people aged 16-24 who are homeless in a wide range of areas, including access housing, finding employment, recovery from addiction and building stability through a range of social activities.

The Salvation Army, offers practical advice, services, and support to some of the most disadvantaged people from all walks of life at locations of network of churches and community centres.

CHESS Homeless, ensures that people who find themselves homeless are supported in ways that enable them to move forward purposefully and in good health. Respecting individuals' need for safety and dignity, CHESS cares for the homeless and those at risk of homelessness, promoting a sense of security and self-worth and encouraging the growth and development of both their staff and service users through partnerships and training opportunities with others.

BRAINTREE:
The Halstead Community Shed Trust, which promotes social inclusion by preventing people (particularly but not exclusively older men) within Halstead and the surrounding area from becoming socially excluded.

WITHAM:

The Witham Community Hub promotes social inclusion for the public benefit of individuals living within the town, by preventing people from becoming socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society. The Witham Community Hub also hosts a community fridge helping those who need a little extra help in difficult times. The fridge, stocked with usable surplus food from local supermarkets and donations, aims to both reduce food poverty and food waste, preventing good food from going to landfill.

What is Coffee for a Coffee?
Our Coffee for a Coffee project is an initiative where we donate a cup of coffee to those in need for every coffee we sell. When you purchase a coffee-based drink at any TOAST branch, we donate a cup to a charity, organisation, or not-for-profit in our local community.

Your support makes our Coffee for a Coffee project possible. Thank you.
